What is Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)?

RTT embraces many of the positive aspects of hypnosis and hypnotherapy that are known to produce a transformative effect on clients: the use of trance, regression and hypnotic conditioning. However RTT goes beyond, diagnosing what works with real clients in real sessions to build a new therapeutic approach. Creator Marisa Peer identified that regardless of their issue, in sessions clients benefitted from her applying a particular set of techniques over and over again. These insights provided the foundations for Rapid Transformational Therapy to emerge as a distinctive approach.

What Does a Session Look Like in Comparison to Traditional Therapy?

We know that clients are time-starved and come to me in pain, both physical or emotional. They want rapid results. So the first difference with RTT is it aims to to deliver permanent change in a single session. Although some clients and some issues will need up to 3 sessions, most issues can be solved in just the one hypnotic session.

The second difference with RTT is it is a method that truly empower clients. By understanding the root source of the issue and the significance clients attach to their problems, RTT offers a powerful emotional release and freedom for that client. RTT draws out ‘unfinished business’, meaning it is a technique for addressing the trauma that clients have been holding onto for many years. RTT offers a therapeutic space for dialogue and communication with significant others. We do several exercises to address letting go – this is where clients experience the moment of transformation they’ve been longing for.

A third difference with RTT is its use of Command Cell Therapy as a modality for purposefully healing the physical body, as opposed to positive conditioning alone. Pain and disease, any imperfections manifesting into physical symptoms can be fixed with RTT.

FAQ

How long does it take?

Each RTT session lasts from 90-120 minutes. Each supplemental coaching session with me will be 60 minutes.

What does it feel like?

The experience feels different for different people. Some feel a floating sensation; others may feel sleepy; most people feel relaxed and at ease. What’s most important to know is that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is. Regardless of what it feels like, it’s working. I promise.

Can I get "stuck" in hypnosis?

No, that’s an old wives tale. You have complete control the whole time, to talk, move your body, get a tissue, even get up to use the bathroom. If we’re in a virtual session and our call gets disconnected you may drift into sleep if you’re really relaxed, but eventually you’ll notice that you’re not hearing my voice and open your eyes.

How does it work?

Hypnosis is not magic, it’s science. It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you’re in REM. That’s what allows the subconscious mind access to your earliest memories. It’s very easy and anyone can do it; you’ll see for yourself when you do it, too.

What if I don't "go deep" enough?

Don’t worry about how deep you go, just forget about all that. It’s unimportant. The depth of the trance is not linked to results at all. Just tell yourself the truth – “it’s working” – and it will absolutely work. Absolutely everyone is suggestible.

What if I think I already know the reasons behind my issue?

What makes RTT amazing is that even if you think you know the reason, you see it in a completely new way. That’s what allows you to change the meaning, and ultimately, change your beliefs. And for many clients they go back to scenes that are totally different than what they expected. Just relax and trust that your subconscious mind will show you exactly what you need to see.

What if I go back to scenes that are painful or scary?

If you go back to scenes related to trauma or abuse, it’s important to remember that you are not reliving the scene, you’re simply reviewing it, and you are absolutely safe. I will support you and create a safe space for you to express your emotions and heal. You’ll be OK!

When will I start to see changes?

There are three types of change from RTT – every person is different:
1. Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away – immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviors right in the session.
2. Incremental: You see consistent shifts every day, or over time.
3. Retroactive: You don’t see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in your life.

What if I need or want another session?

RTT is designed to give you a powerful breakthrough and create big changes in your life. Some clients may need more than one RTT session on a particular issue, depending on how deep it is could take up to three sessions. Most want to keep doing sessions to work on other areas of their life and receive coaching to integrate the new beliefs and build new habits and behaviors. For these reasons I offer a 3-month RTT Experience Program for those who want continued support on their transformative journey. And for those who have worked with me before, I offer a 20% discount on any future sessions.
